From the show office
Make sure to add/scratch classes two hours
prior to the start of the session.
Notes
Who wasn’t at Club Rodeo
last night? After JR’s 21st birthday party, everyone migrated to
the premier club on Meridian. The bull riding was entertaining and packed!
The dance floor was full of the show crowd, but the bars were even more
crowded. After the lights were turned on a fight broke out between locals,
so the members of team Morgan vacated immediately to nearby breakfast
spots. IHOP was full; the Waffle House was a bit more entertaining. There
are pictures circulating the show grounds of a certain blonde wearing black
ribbon curls…
Tonight is the After Glow
party after the last class of the evening session in Barn 1. After, look
for the crowd to be moving to Chisholm’s to say their goodbyes, and then to
Club Rodeo for some late-night entertainment.
Congratulations are in
order to Ron Smith, of Baccarat Farms, on his first World Champion
performance horse. Ron trained Futurity’s Such A Twist to her victory pass
yesterday in the Ladies Amateur Western Pleasure class with owner Kathy
Papola.
Thank you to members of
USEF for attending the Morgan Grand Nationals for part of the week. We are
thrilled at the opportunity to showcase the Morgan to the Unites States
Equestrian Federation.
Class 241 tonight is the
presentation of awards for the 2006 equitation champions. Class 246 is the
Youth of the Year Presentations. Please attend these presentations to show
your support for the future horsemen and women of our breed!
Thank you to all of the
sponsors of the News Of The Day; The Dixie Cup, The Copper Dragon Sale, Garn
Walker Stables, David Young Equestrian Services and Tropic Morgans. Your

The Morgan Horse Magazine
A percentage of each
advertisement from the Morgan Grand National, appearing in the December
issue of The Morgan Horse, will go back to help the shows. A special fund
will be set aside to be awarded to competitions and events demonstrating a
need in 2007. See Julie Dickie, Abbie Felton, Tony Lee or Ryan Ulrich at
Howie’s photo table on Sunday morning to book your Grand National
advertising.
Best wishes to all
exhibitors for a safe trip home and a well-deserved break after the show.
Here’s to a new show year full of possibilities…
