From the show office

-Class 335, Two Year Old Futurity Pleasure Driving, will be split into two heats on Monday. The Finals will be held after class 103 on Tuesday afternoon.  Check in with the show office for a list of the split.

-Make sure to add or scratch classes two hours before the session.  Please notify the office of rider changes.

Notes

If you’ve noticed that Ellen DiBella and Meredith Sloan are absent from the show grounds in the afternoons, it’s because they’re back at their apartment-style hotel preparing Wolf Creek Family Dinners.  Make sure to ask Meredith what they call their catering business!

Crystal Hildreth, Kim’s canine companion, is sporting some new bling. Kim shocked the saleswoman by replacing Crystal’s collar with the silver necklace he purchased in the coliseum.

Were you wowed by Allyson Nord Wandtke’s coat in the Amateur Park Saddle last night?  It’s a Marsha, silver with satin pinstripes.  Not overlooking a detail, Ally’s tie and bow on her bun were sparkling with crystal detailing.

Walnut Crawford, who was welcomed into the Boston Morgan Family last year here, has family in Barn 4!  The Darlings, his breeders, have another litter of puppies for sale.

Introducing the Morgan

Beginning on Thursday afternoon 4-H, FFA and College horse judging teams will be arriving at the show to prepare for the Youth Horse Judging Contest on Friday morning.  They will be walking through the barns and watching the show. Please help make them feel welcome and answer any questions that they may have.  Section 236 has been reserved for their use in the coliseum. If you see a group sitting in that section and have a few minutes, please offer to sit with the teams and talk to them about the breed.

Important exhibitor meetings this week:

  • Dressage exhibitors should meet on Monday at the conclusion of dressage in Ring 9.

  • Carriage exhibitors should meet on Thursday at the conclusion of carriage in Show Arena 6.

  • Reining exhibitors should meet on Saturday after the 8 am session in Ring 9.

Attention Youth/Jr. Exhibitor AMHA Members:

The AMHA Youth Board and the AMHA Board of Directors are very proud of your participation in the 2006 Grand National.  Make sure to stop by the AMHA booth in the coliseum to register your name and division.  You will receive a small gift from the Youth Board and AMHA Board as a token of their appreciation for your support of the Morgan horse.  Gifts are sponsored by the Dixie Cup Spring Classic.
